This book took a ridiculously long time to finish. It’s only 150 pages long, but I kept putting it down for long stretches. I don’t know if it had more to do with me or the book.

I enjoyed a lot of Everts’ insight and his prose, I just never got really involved in this one. It’s still worth the time, which will be far less for you than it was for me.
